10 Essential Products to Survive 2 under 2

August 14, 2016 Motherhood

When it comes to having babies, especially having multiple babies, I say pay for whatever makes your life easier. Having babies is hard and the time goes by so fast, I think we should do whatever to enjoy those moments… or survive them. When I look back on the last 6 months having 2 under 2, these are some of the items that came in VERY handy!!

Products to Survive 2 under 2

Stroller//Sleep Sheep//Bassinet//Happy Baby Wrap//Halo Sleepsack//Bottles//

Diaper Rash Cream//Swing//Pack and Play//Baby Monitor

  1. Uppababy Vista: Double strollers are so bulky. This one is the only one that I can get in and out of the trunk easily and I love that it comes with a bassinet.
  2.  Sound machine: We used Sleep Sheep which has been our saving grace. We used it with both kids. It drowns out all the noise (especially if another child is loudly refusing to nap) and lulls them to sleep. Plus it’s a great sleep association.
  3. Bassinet: I know a lot of people think it’s a waste but it’s nice to have your baby by your bed at the start. This one from Target is so cute and light you can take it anywhere in the house. I never put it away, Ava likes putting her babies for a nap in there and it’s such a cute part of decor for a girls nursery.
  4. Happy baby wrap: (very similar to Solly Baby wrap) My youngest loved to be held and my oldest is a very active baby. It really helped being hands free and to be cuddling your baby at the same time, and you can breastfeed in it too. I love how soft the material is.
  5. Halo Sleepsack: The day that I got that sleep sack was the first day Sophie slept through the night. Enough said!
  6. Comotomo Bottles: I breastfed both my ladies but sometimes it’s nice to have a bottle option. Ava wasn’t finicky with her type of bottle so we used Avent. Sophie on the other hand is a little more picky but she LOVES Comotomo.
  7. Bum Bum Balm: I’ve tried many brands but they did nothing for the newborn diaper rash. This one is MAGICAL, it cleared the rash up in hours and I love that it’s organic.
  8. 4moms Rockaroo: As I mentioned before Sophie loved being held and wasn’t much for napping right from the get go. The only thing she would nap in is the Rockaroo. She didn’t like a regular swing for some reason so we had to run out and buy this. Whatever makes your baby sleep right!!!
  9. 4moms Breeze: For us it was a big investment. We decided to go all out on the playpen and let me tell you it payed off. We used it as a crib at grandmas, and we took it with us traveling. We also set it up in different rooms for the girls to nap in when we reno’d. It has been up and down the stairs more times than I can count. It’s so nice that it folds so fast and easy and I love how it looks as well. We also put Sophie in the napper during the day when she was really small so Ava couldn’t get her hands on her.
  10. Summer Infant Baby Monitor: It’s nice to have a peace of mind when your kids are sleeping. We had this one since our first baby and just got an extra camera when Sophie was born. It scans between rooms so you can keep a good eye on both. You can also have a few laughs watching your 2 year old sometimes.
  11. Lego Mega Blocks (not pictured): Those things save my ASS. They keep Ava occupied for hours when I need to tend to Sophie. GET THEM!!

Just because i found this picture of my little strawberry and i couldn't resist!

I have a 23 month and a 1 month old boy, and I SO agree that you should pay for whatever will give the most sanity – I think a wrap so far has been our saving grace!

Half of the excuse of having you baby in the wrap is because you get an extra cuddle RIGHT?!?! and GIRL you are in the hardest part in a couple of months it only starts getting better!!

We love our sleep sheep! Girl, you are rocking the two under two thing! And blogging? That’s amazing! And yes, anything to make it easier is a good thing. Because these babies are beautiful, but man is it hard in the thick of it.

I just have one kiddo but I use so many of these things already…this post is great! I wish I had it a couple of years ago so I didn’t have to figure it out on my own. Haha! We have a lullaby lamb animal as well and it’s AWESOME!!!

This is a great round up list! Mine is 3 now, but I used a lot of these items or similar ones when he was little.
